Butman Methodist Camp

Working with Jesus to change the world. . . one heart at a time.

In 1953, Sam Butman Sr. donated 231.9 acres to the Northwest Texas Conference for a youth campsite. Butman Camp now includes nearly 400 acres. It is the home to Christian camps, retreats, family reunions and other gatherings desiring a serene “getaway”. You can find rest and renewal in the tranquil setting of Butman Methodist Camp, located in scenic Mulberry Canyon of West Texas.

Abilene Gives

24 Hours to Give Where You Live - May 2, 2017 Abilene Gives is a 24-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofit organizations and causes they care about on one easy-to-use platform.

On the first Tuesday in May (May 2, 2017), Abilene Gives will be one of more than 100 community giving events happening across the country to raise the profile of charitable giving.  Abilene Gives will allow our community to give together by collectively supporting our local nonprofit organizations.  Twenty-four hours of giving begins at 12:00 a.m. on May 2.  Throughout the day, individuals may view online profiles of nonprofit organizations serving Abilene and the surrounding area and make a charitable gift through this website.

Participating nonprofits also have the opportunity to receive additional funds based on donations received during Abilene Gives, encouraging donors to make a gift on this particular day to support their favorite causes or nonprofits.
