Maintenance Assistant
Spencer is twenty-two and serves as the maintenance and grounds assistant here at camp. He grew up going to church and got baptized at seven years old and rededicated his life at twenty. Spencer started to serve at camp at sixteen at Riverbend Camp and Retreat Center as a lifeguard and loved it. Therefore, he continued to work six more summers as a summer staff and two years as a year round intern working with the maintenance team. He appreciates the role of maintenance assistant because he enjoys fixing things and it allows him a variety of tasks around camp. He cherishes camp ministry because it's a job where he feels like the work he does is making a difference and where the little things he does can take away distractions so people can focus on God.
