Krista Fricke
Office Assistant
Krista was saved at thirteen years old at a church camp but didn't start to have a relationship with the Lord until eighteen years old. She then heard the call to ministry in 2016 at the age of twenty-two while serving as a coleader for a youth camp. The Lord impressed on her heart to go on a mission trip to Asia, and the following summer found herself in an unfamiliar place but with a wonderful team. During her time there, she saw a community with hearts for Christ and served those who were less fortunate. In that time, the Lord stirred in her heart to pursue ministry in a greater capacity. After returning from her trip, she pursued an internship with Beltway Park Church where she served in the different ministries that make up the church, including the benevolence ministry and college ministry for the following academic year. This then led to a lifechanging opportunity to serve at Love and Care Ministries in Abilene where she assisted the less fortunate in the community for just over six and a half years. She has built friendships with the staff there and with the incredible lives that make up the community there. The lessons and people she has met along the way have impacted her greatly.
Krista met her wonderful husband in the summer of 2021 at small group. Little did she know that this man would come to be a very special person in a year's time. As she continued to serve the Lord, Cam and Krista's friendship grew. In the fall of 2023 the two were married in Scott Chapel at Burman Camp. Butman continued to grow a special place in her heart as she saw her husband and others serve this incredible ministry. She then answered the call to camping ministry in January of 2025 after volunteering with Ladies Retreat and Mother Daughter Retreat and throughout the summer.
Krista has been immensely blessed to see hearts and minds changed in multiple ministries, including Butman. She is excited to see the Lord continue to move in greater measure here at camp!
